Google is featuring a special logo for Alexander Calder, an American artist known for inventing mobile sculptures, 113th birthday. Alexander Calder was born on July 22, 1898 in Lawnton, Pennsylvania and died on November 11, 1976 at the age of 78 in Manhattan.
The logo is Google’s first doodle made entirely using HTML5 canvas. Google engineer, Jered Wierzbicki, said on the Google Blog, iit runs a physics simulation on the mobile’s geometry, and then does realtime 3D rendering with vector graphics. Only recently have browsers advanced to the point where this is possible.”

But did you know that Google tried to use this logo lat year? Google had this logo up last year as July 22nd hit in some locations and because of technical problems, they pulled it and waited till this year to repost it. Not only that, Google had problems with this logo early on. They posted it on some Google properties and pulled it for a few hours, then it came back.
